Retime a Clip to Fit

When you want a clip to line up with the timing you need you can use the retime controls and drag the clip end to the target timing.

Steps

1. Select the clip on the timeline.
2. Press Cmd + R (Mac) or Ctrl + R (Windows) to show retime controls.
3. Move to the top-right edge of the clip until the retime cursor appears.
4. Drag left to shorten duration (faster playback).
5. Drag right to extend duration (slower playback).
